Ryan Wellott | Owner, Operator & Master Electrician at Wellott Electric

We Serve North Dallas & Collin County

Ryan Wellott is the Owner and Operator of Wellott Electric, a family-owned company he founded in 2021 with a clear mission—deliver high-quality electrical work while genuinely taking care of people. As a Master Electrician with over a decade of hands-on experience, Ryan leads the team with a customer-first mindset and a commitment to doing things the right way, every time.

Ryan began his career in 2013 working on high-end custom homes, where he developed a strong foundation in precision and craftsmanship. From there, he expanded into service work, where troubleshooting quickly became one of his specialties and passions. Today, he remains heavily involved in operations—overseeing projects, supporting his team, and ensuring every customer receives the level of service Wellott Electric is known for.

What Ryan enjoys most about his work goes beyond electrical—it’s about people. He is driven by helping customers feel confident in their homes and by building up his team to become the best version of themselves. His leadership is rooted in a simple philosophy: when everyone around you wins, we all win.

Ryan takes the most pride in delivering a customer experience that stands out—combining clear communication, clean and professional workmanship, and solutions that are safe, code-compliant, and built to last. His attention to detail and commitment to quality are reflected in every project the company completes.

Born in Richardson, Texas, and raised in McKinney, Ryan is deeply connected to the North Texas community he serves. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Megan, and their twin daughters, Ashton and Layton—especially watching them play sports and supporting their involvement in livestock showing. When he’s not with family, you’ll find him hunting, fishing, camping, or working on projects around the farm.

On the job, Ryan’s go-to tool is his 11-in-1 screwdriver—simple, versatile, and always effective. His favorite projects include service upgrades, lighting improvements, and troubleshooting complex issues—anything that allows him to solve problems and make a real impact for homeowners.

Ryan lives by the mindset:
“Life is too short to be unhappy—you just gotta keep livin’ L-I-V-I-N.”
